If you're not competing for world market domination, then register a domain name about WHAT YOU DO and WHERE YOU DO IT. If you have a long established family business, fine, keep the family named web address like www.ford.com but also setup sites targeting one keyword phrase if the keywords are competitive. Short names are powerful for positioning but not always the best.
